How to add a New Listing to Nickfundytus.ca

  1. Log into WordPress by googling “nickfundytus.ca/admin”

  2. Once you’re logged in, you will be viewing the WordPress Dashboard.

  3. Navigate to ‘Listings’ in the left-hand side column (p.s. you can also edit things such as blog posts, teams, neighbourhoods, etc.)

  4. You can use an existing listing as a template to make things easier. Duplicate the listing and change the relevant details, save as a draft.

  5. Use Elementor to further customize the page layout. Elementor is a visual page builder that allows you to edit your website in a “What you see is what you get'“ manner.

  6. Always save your changes as drafts before publishing.

    1. Ensure that there are no errors or typos

    2. Have Nick review the draft prior to publishing if you are unsure.

  7. Once satisfied, publish the listing.

Remember to exercise caution when making changes to your website, especially if you're not familiar with WordPress or web development. Always create backups before making significant changes, and don't hesitate to seek help from experienced web developers or administrators when needed.

How to add a Pre-Inspection Report to a listing:

  1. Locate the report in Nick’s email and download it.

  2. Add the report to the ‘Client Facing Files’ under the correct property in Teams Google Drive (Google Drive > 2023 Folder > Select Property > Client Facing Files > Upload new file).

  3. Once it has been uploaded, click ‘Share’ and ensure that the restrictions are set to “everyone with link”, Copy the link

  4. If not currently logged into the team’s website, log in now by googling: Nickfundytus.ca/admin

  5. Go to listings > Select the listing > Edit with Elementor > Locate section for Pre-inspection Reports > Click on Pre-Inspection Report ‘Button’

  6. Edit the text display to “Download Pre-Inspection Report”

  7. Add the link that was created in step 3.

How to add a Status Certificate to a listing:

  1. Download all documents associated with the Status Certificate.

  2. In Google Drive > 2023 > Select Property > Create new folder > Label new folder “ *Address* Status Certificate” > Upload all documents in relation to the Status Certificate in this new folder.

  3. Create a Link by clicking ‘share’. Ensure that the restrictions are set to “everyone with the link”, and copy the link

  4. If not currently logged into the team’s website, log in now by googling: Nickfundytus.ca/admin

  5. Go to listings > select the listing > Edit with Elementor > Locate section for Status Certificate > Click on ‘button’

  6. Edit the text to display “Download Status Certificate”

  7. Add the link that was created in step 3.

How to add Floorplans to a listing:

  1. Floorplans will be provided through Matterport.

  2. In Nick’s Gmail, search ‘Podder Media’ (if you used Marc Bourbonnais for photos).

  3. Once you locate the file, download the floorplans and save them in the appropriate Google Drive.

    1. Under the listing photo folder, create a new folder titled “(address) floorplans”.

  4. Copy the link to the folder which contains the floorplans. Ensure that the settings are set to allow for anyone with the link to be a viewer.

  5. Open nickfundytus.ca/admin

  6. Go to listings > select the listing > Edit with Elementor > Locate section for Floorplans > Click on ‘button’

  7. Edit the text to display “Download Floorplans”

  8. Add the link that you obtained in step 4.

How to add 3D tour to a listing:

  1. 3D tour will be provided through Matterport. Keep in mind it takes 24H-48H to process the 3D tour. It may not be available right away.

  2. In Nick’s Gmail, search ‘Podder Media’ (if you used Marc Bourbonnais for photos).

  3. Copy the link to the 3D tour.

  4. Open nickfundytus.ca/admin

  5. Go to listings > select the listing > Edit with Elementor > Locate section for 3D tour > Click on the existing tour > click on the pencil icon to edit

  6. In the left hand side panel, you can enter the appropriate URL for the 3D tour. Ensure to only cut and paste the new URL in between the quotation marks. All of the other coding must stay to ensure the tour embeds into the website properly.

How to dd Youtube Video to a listing:

  1. Once Jan has finished editing the video, you can find it in the shared Google Drive between him and Nick.

  2. Download the video.

  3. Add subscripts using the website ‘Happy Scribe’. Ensure that there are no mistakes before saving.

  4. Create a Thumbnail on Vista create for the video. Ensure to save it in low resolution or it will be too big for Youtube.

  5. Open Nick’s Youtube.

  6. Upload the video. Ensure to include the correct tags. The tags can be found on the script that Hannah prepared prior to shooting the video.

  7. Once uploaded to Youtube, copy the link and open nickfundytus.ca/admin

  8. Go to listings > select the listing > Edit with Elementor > Locate section for video tour > Click on the existing tour > change the link in the left hand side panel.
