Weekly Content Roundup (WCR) - Process {{ currentPage ? currentPage.title : "" }}

The Weekly Content Roundup (WCR) is the team’s primary weekly email content piece. It aggregates blog posts from all agents, includes a short BombBomb video introduction, and highlights relevant events happening in Ottawa over the upcoming weekend.

The WCR serves three core purposes:

  • Nurture existing leads and clients

  • Showcase the team’s expertise and insights

  • Maintain consistent weekly communication with the audience

The process involves three stages: agent content submission, marketing compilation, and distribution through Follow Up Boss (FUB).

Agent Content Submission

1. Weekly Blog Contribution

All agents are expected to publish one blog post per week on nickfundytus.ca.

Once the blog is published, the agent must:

  • Copy the blog URL

  • Share it in the designated Google Chat channel: Weekly Content Roundups

This must be completed no later than Wednesdays at 11:59 PM.

2. BombBomb Video Submission

Each agent must also record a BombBomb video to accompany the Weekly Content Roundup.

These videos are typically:

  • A quick weekly update

  • A short commentary on the market

  • A personal message to the agent’s database

Once recorded, the BombBomb video must be shared in the Weekly Content Roundups Google Chat.

Deadline: Thursday at 2:00 PM

Marketing Compilation

Once blog posts and BombBomb videos are submitted, the Marketing Team assumes full responsibility for producing the Weekly Content Roundup email.

3. Draft the Written Content

Create the written content for the Weekly Content Roundup.

The email should include the following sections:

Greeting

Begin with a friendly greeting that includes merge tags for personalization:

  • First name

  • First name of partner (if applicable)

Example:

Introduction

Write a strong opening paragraph that:

  • Feels conversational and personal

  • Sets the tone for the newsletter

  • Highlights the value of the content inside

Agent Blog Highlights

Include links and short summaries of each agent’s blog post.

Each summary should:

  • Clearly explain what the article is about

  • Encourage readers to click through

  • Stay concise and engaging

Things To Do in Ottawa

Include a section highlighting major events happening in Ottawa that weekend.

Examples may include:

  • Festivals

  • Markets

  • Community events

  • Seasonal activities

This section reinforces the team’s local expertise and community presence.

Closing and Call to Action

End the email with a closing paragraph and CTA.

Examples:

  • Contact us for hyperlocal market insights

  • Request a home valuation

  • Reach out if you're thinking about buying or selling

Subject Line

Draft a high-engagement subject line that reflects the team’s tone.

Subject lines should be:

  • Educational

  • Engaging

  • Friendly

  • Not fear-based or clickbait

Email Creation in Follow Up Boss (FUB)

4. Open Follow Up Boss

Once the draft is finalized, move into Follow Up Boss (FUB).

5. Filter the Contact List

Apply the following filters:

  • Tag: Weekly Content Roundup

  • Exclude: Unsubscribed contacts

  • Email Status: Good (not bounced or invalid)

  • Agent: Nick

Ensure All Emails are selected.

6. Create the Email

Create a new email using the WCR template.

Steps:

  1. Copy and paste the finalized WCR content into the template.

  2. Ensure formatting is correct, especially:

    • Bullet lists

    • Spacing

    • Links

7. Embed the BombBomb Video

Use the BombBomb integration icon to embed Nick’s BombBomb video directly under the introduction section.

8. Schedule the Email

Schedule the email to send:

Friday at 8:30 AM

9. Repeat for Each Agent

Repeat the same process for other agents by adjusting the contact filters:

  • Change the Agent filter

  • Embed the appropriate BombBomb video

Each agent’s database should receive the version featuring their video introduction.

Performance Review

10. Monday Review

During the Sales & Marketing meeting on Monday, review performance metrics for the Weekly Content Roundup.

Key metrics to evaluate:

  • Open rate

  • Audience size

  • Click-through engagement

  • Overall performance trends

Discuss results with the team and identify opportunities to improve future editions.
