Barbara Ruth Dickson (born 27 September 1947) is a Scottish singer. Dixon gained a name on the folk circuit in the 1960s before finding further recognition performing the music for stage shows by Willy Russell and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Dixon’s single "I Know Him So Well", a duet sung with Elaine Paige, remains the best selling female duet, per the Guinness book of records. She has found success as a dramatic actor as well as continuing her music career.

Dixon was awarded an OBE for services to the arts in 2002. She is married to Oliver Cookson, an Assistant Director, and has three sons.
