It posits that our physical activities are unreliable indications of truth and that correct notion can just only be achieved via a shift in consciousness. The Program distinguishes involving the "real-world," which is a state of peace and oneness beyond the material region, and the "confidence world," indicated by anxiety, divorce, and conflict. Based on ACIM, our principal purpose is to wake from the dream of the confidence world and go back to the understanding of our heavenly nature.

ACIM also introduces the thought of the Sacred Soul as a guide and instructor within the individual. That spiritual existence is observed as the origin of inspiration acim and wisdom, helping us make possibilities that lead us closer to truth and from illusion. The Class shows that through our willingness to listen to the Sacred Spirit's advice, we could entry a deeper comprehension of our function and the way to healing.
