Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu

Käärijä won the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu in 2023 with the song Cha Cha Cha winning 539 total points (x).

Käärijä made an appearance at UMK 2024, performing Ruoska and Cha Cha Cha as a part of the interval act.

Eurovision Song Contest

Käärijä represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song “Cha Cha Cha”, finishing first in the public vote and coming in second place with 526 points.

MTV Europe Music Awards

Käärijä was awarded the Best Nordic Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2023 (x). The award ceremony was not held in person (where it would have been held in Paris, France), due to security concerns regarding the war in Gaza.

Cultural Personality Award

Käärijä won the Yle Kulttuuripersoona (cultural personality) award in 2023. He was, unfortunately, unable to attend the award ceremony due to scheduling conflicts, but was able to send in a video voicing his gratitude.

Emma Gaala

Käärijä won five awards at the Emma Gaala in 2024. He won the Most Streamed Song in Finland, Export of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Song of the Year (Cha Cha Cha), and Artist of the Year (x).
