In this assignment, you should have learned about what a vertebrate is and the 5 classes that are associated with the vertebrate phylum in the animal kingdom. Within your respective groups you should have learned in-depth about your assigned topic, following the directions assigned to you for your particular group. After learning about your topic, you and your group will have become the subject matter experts for that particular topic which would have allowed you to teach your particular subject to your peers in a presentation- oriented learning exercise. Additionally, you should have learned about the other classes of vertebrates that you were not assigned which would have resulted in all students learning about each particular vertebrate class. Remember, if you can teach a topic, it means that you know that topic!
