Faced by having an ever-dwindling method of getting the resource we truly need most- water- we humans have to come up with better, sustainable methods to talk with, use, and treat water if our children and the world as we realize it is to survive.

The bad news is, even knowing the statistics on what little of our precious potable water is left, countries in general are doing little to stall, much less reverse, the downward spiral of less and more polluted water. The good news is, we don't need to come up with new technologies to save water and decrease dramatically on pollution- simple, low tech solutions already exist and have been around in use for years,

albeit on an inferior scale than required to see real change. Improving our situation regarding water requires more folks to place water-conscious practices into use. Hopefully Malcolm Gladwell is right concerning the significance of reaching critical mass- perhaps, with the growing interest and awareness of the straightforward things we are able to do to save water, enough people is going to be "turned on" to make a change at a large scale.
