Welcome to the Extended Survival Mod beginners guide, let's start from the basics.

Starting Your Journey

When you start in the world you can only start on planet EarthLike, as now the player needs food and water, this is the place in the system with these two resources in abundance and with few dangers.

To enable the player to survive and achieve their goals, the drop pod has been modified to a customized hover.

Survival Kits no longer process stone, and stones no longer produce ore, so it's very important to use hover to find ore sources. But don't completely rule out the use of stone, it is used to make gravel and sand that can be used in many recipes.

Using Wood

A resource merely neglected in the standard game, it can now be used for construction, components, food and energy production. One of the first things to do once you start is to cut down some trees.

Feeling Hunger and Thirst

The main change in the game is the need to feed the character, who needs food, water to stay healthy. All hunger, thirst, stamina, metabolism and nutrition can be display in the interface.

In the upper left corner of the screen all active attributes for the character on the server will be shown.

To show all attributes on the screen you need to put better versions of an item called Body Tracker in your inventory. In the start pod you will receive the initial version of it, and you can manufacture new ones in assemblers.

These attributes simulate a person's metabolism and nutrition, if body water reaches 0 the character will die. The body temperature will change according to the environment, for hot and for cold and if it arrives in extremes it can have negative effects on the character.

All movement or use of tools and weapons consumes stamina, if performing any of these actions without stamina result in loss of health points, recovery speed and maximum amount of stamina are modified by the negative effects.

The food and liquids ingested will simulate the character's digestive system that will gradually absorb the value in the attributes Body Energy and Body Water.

They also will increase the invisble stats Carbohydrates, Protein, Lipids, Vitamins and Minerals that simulate the character's absorption system that will gradually absorb the value in the attributes Muscle, Fat, Efficiency and Immunity.

How to Get Food

Food is everywhere, it is enough for the engineer to know where and how to get it. Trees can drop fruits and cereal, animals drop meat and eggs, and it's possible to find mushrooms, carrots and beets by digging into the earth's surface.

But raw food is never safe to eat, it's always best to cook it well using a food processor.

But a great evolution of humanity was when we stopped being just gatherers, and started enjoying agriculture. It is possible to buy and find in unknown signs seeds of different plants and together with fertilizer on a farm it is possible to produce food.

If the Water Mod is active it is possible to use fish traps to get some seafood.

The amount of consumables is quite ample, so keep a varied and healthy diet.
