I have not shed tears like this while watching a movie in a long time. This film evoked emotions in me that I didn't even know were still present. The performances of the four main actors were outstanding, and the subtle gestures and expressions were exquisite. Although I had an inkling of how it would end, the execution was brilliant. As the final song played, I was completely immersed in the story and had to fight back tears that were already streaming down my face. Andrew Scott deserves praise for his role in this film. I appreciate when a movie can evoke such strong emotions in me, so I applaud Andrew Haigh for directing what is sure to be one of my favorite films.
