Personal statement

I want to teach because I see the value in young minds and know that a teacher is one of the first, and sometimes one of the most important, role models children can have and being a teacher gives me the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of others. Also, I believe that education is the key to the future, and if we want to change tomorrow we have to start with today’s children. Finally, I love to learn and I believe that sometimes the best way to learn something is to try to teach it because it shows you what you didn’t know that you didn’t know. Teaching is a career that will rarely have a day go by that I don’t learn something.
