Task/Purpose {{ currentPage ? currentPage.title : "" }}

Congratulations students! You are all now working for a car dealership trying to sell the new 2019 Chevrolet Camaro! Your job is to create an advertisement flyer that must appeal to at least two of the rhetorical appeals: ethos, logos, and pathos. Everyone in your group is competing for this advertisement because it comes with a pay raise as well! Your group has been chosen based on your last names. The people with the first four last names in aphabetical order are in group 1, the students with the second four last names are group two, and so forth. Each group will have four people in it, so split up the rhetorical appeals among the group evenly (If someone is already doing pathos and logos, do not do that. Choose either pathos and ethos, or logos and ethos. There will be two people per group creating advertisements using the same two appeals, but no more than two can use the same ones). You are to work alone on the creation of the advertisements, but your group is there to help you navigate the WebQuest and to bounce ideas off of. While researching ethos, pathos, and logos, you will all work together using the given resources to understand the definitions of each. You may discuss each others work. Once everyone has completed their advertisement, you will present and explain it to the group. At the end of your advertisement only one students work from each group will be chosen and will be put on display on the schools mural wall! You may use only the resources listed on the “Introduction/Resources” page of this WebQuest. No internet searching unless it is from that list. You have examples there, the website you will use (which you will create a login for using your school email), and a definition of what logos, pathos, and ethos are in case you need another definition. Each group will anonymously vote whose they think should be placed on the mural wall. Good luck!
