Guangzhou is the third largest city in China but many people from outside of China have not heard about it. In fact, ten years ago Mr Stevens worked in Shanghai and did not visit or know about Guangzhou until he applied for a job here. Guangzhou is in the south east of China near Macau, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It is in the province of Guangdong which is where much of the manufacturing of China is done.
