Philosophy of Teaching:

As a future educator I hope to be student-centered in my classroom. My core philosophy is that of Social Reconstruction supported by a few ideas of Existentialism. I want my students to ask questions and become critical thinkers. I want my students to be able to leave my classroom as intellectual problem solvers and solve real world problems. My students will be presented with real data and i will incorporate use of kinetic, visual and auditory learning styles to give all my students the same chance of succeeding in my class. No child should leave my class feeling like he or she cannot work their dream job or qualify for it. I want my students to be open-minded and rid the world of the ideas of racism, xenophobia, sexism and homophobia which are prejudice. My children should be aware of the world that surround them not just in their very own community but in the world’s entirety. My students and I will have a personal relationship so they can come to me for advice or just to open up about their life and learn the importance of communication. I hope to be able to point them in the right direction and to stay focused.
