Zeus is one of the twelve Olympians. He is the Greek God of weather and the sky. In Roman mythology, he is called Jupiter. Zeus is married to his sister Hera, the Goddess of marriage, woman, family, and childbirth. Though he has many children, Zeus’ most famous children are Athena, goddess of war; Persephone, goddess of the underworld; and Perseus, the hero known for slaying Medusa. His weapon of choice is a lightning bolt.
