Learn to Create Realistic Product Mockups in Adobe Dimension CC under Graphic Design Classes in Delhi {{ currentPage ? currentPage.title : "" }}

Hello friend, this is Gurjeet Sharma. I’m a student of graphic design classes in Delhi. My institute name is ADMEC multimedia institute. My course is a 12 months graphic master plus program. In this blog, I’ll talk about my recently completed software Adobe Dimension.

I learned it from Deepak sir. He taught me how to make realistic images in it for mockups.

Intro to Adobe Dimension

It is a pure 3D application and helps designers in making mock-ups mainly. We can easily import PSD and AI files and convert them into 3D. It is really a nice rendering software. We can easily set models, materials and lighting in it.

How to create realistic product mock-ups with Adobe Dimension CC?

Let’s see how to create a realistic mock-up step by step in Dimension:

Prepare Your Product Design

  • For making mockups, first design the product in any 2D design software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.

  • Make the art: If it is a product with logos, patterns, or other graphics, make sure to properly add them as layers in the file so you can easily map them in Dimension later on.

  • Export your design: Save your design files as. PNG or. JPG for easy use.

Launch Adobe Dimension

  • Open Adobe Dimension CC.

  • Begin with a blank project or select from a template accordingly to the mockup you are working on.

  • Import Your Product Model

Dimension supports many different 3D formats. You can also easily find models on websites like Adobe Stock, TurboSquid, or Sketchfab.

The default 3D model only use the Dimension's shapes and assets when we don’t have a custom 3d model.

Place the 3D Model

Import the model then use the tools like move, rotate, and scale to center the product in the canvas.

You can easily control over the product's angle using the options available in the application, it will help you to obtain nice results.

Use The Texture Mapping On Your Design

You can easily texture your model by simply applying your 2D details like logos, labels and designs to the 3D model.

Go to Materials section first then decide which surface of your item you want to add design on like outside of a bottle or a t-shirt or a box.

So, these are some of the important ways to use Dimension for converting 2D designs into photo realistic 3D mock-ups renders. But remember you must learn the software first carefully. For that ADMEC multimedia institute is the right place. This institute covers a complete set of training for graphic designing. I learned a lot here, now you can also go for it.
