牧場物語 25周年記念 アートワークセレクション

The Bokujou Monogatari (牧場物語, loc. “Story of Seasons”) 25th Anniversary Artwork Selection is a smaller art book included as an appendix of the May 2021 (vol. 324) issue of Nintendo Dream magazine⁽¹⁾. It is a truncated version of the selection first compiled in 牧場物語公式イラスト全集 (Bokujō Monogatari Kōshiki Irasuto Zenshū, lit. Story of Seasons Official Illustration Collection) from May 25th, 2012.

For reasons not stated, there are prominent mainline titles missing from this compilation that were once available previously. The titles are as follows:

• 牧場物語～ハーベストムーン～ | Harvest Moon Back to Nature

• 牧場物語～ハーベストムーン～ for ガール | Harvest Moon Back to Nature for Girl (Unreleased Overseas)

• 牧場物語3 ハートに火をつけて | Harvest Moon Save the Homeland

• 牧場物語 Oh!ワンダフルライフ | Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life Special Edition

• 牧場物語 ~ハーベストムーン~ ボーイ＆ガール | Harvest Moon Boy & Girl

• 牧場物語シュガー村とみんなの願い | Harvest Moon Hero of Leaf Valley

Incidentally, those titles were released on Sony’s Playstation platforms. All titles included in the 25th selection were published to Nintendo-based platforms.

In addition to the missing game sections, there are several differences between the 15th and 25th anniversary art books, including but not limited to:

• Color Grading (Assumed differences in print quality between publishers)

• Included artwork (Several instances of different or removed images)

• Print defects (Some artworks missing mouths or small details, and appears to change between each appendix print)
