What is Environmental Awareness?

Environmental awareness is having an understanding and gaining an awareness of the environment and the changes that take place in the environment. Environmental awareness encourages us to protect, respect, and preserve the natural world around us. As educators it is important that our students are made aware of the most vulnerable aspect of our world and be taught how to care for it. Children should be taught as early as possible about the changes and environmental challenges we are facing today, it is important that they understand the importance of taking care of the environment as they are the future leaders of tomorrow.
