A timeline of the princely lands’s history.

Before Time

These first chronicles list the broad strokes of mythology - variations and discussions exist per culture, and we may never know the details perfectly.

  • The Absolute emanates his Dream, from where the soul of existence itself emanated.

  • The soul split into two: chaos and order. Both wished to know themselves more, and emanated their own souls: Chaos begat Padhmi, and Order Anaki.

  • From Chaos and Order’s actions sprang Creation, whom both loved. Creation chose Order, which enraged Chaos. The first conflict, where Chaos and Order fought till Creation was caught in the fighting. In her birth pains, Matter sprang forth. Order brought himself and Chaos outside of existence to spare Creation, leaving her to nurture Matter.

  • Matter saw the souls, and found himself in want. He sees many potencies, intriguing him. He subdivides that Creation spring forth more children. From his sacrifice come the primordials.

The Dawn

  • The primordials live and beget with each other. Cunning Anesidoros plots to strip the divines of their power. He approaches Dranguo with a plan to glorify themselves by new creation.

  • The primordials mostly agree with Anesidoros, with Dranguo and his steward Kayra supporting it the most. Many, however, dissent.

  • The plan moves on, with Kayra its chief architect. Halfway through, however, he realizes that he had grown weak from the undertaking. He escapes, punching a hole to the cosmos.

  • Many others escape after realizing how much power they had lost. However, many primordials willingly sacrifice themselves to see the project succeed. They become the earth-bones, stabilizing the project.

  • Anesidoros gives life to his followers in what becomes Eisenheim, on top of the Weltshals. Dranguo, enraged by Anesidoros’s treason, gives life to his followers in what becomes Brigant Arduin. The two clash till Anesidoros is captured and his heart torn.

  • Anesidoros’s followers wander, becoming man. Dranguo’s stay put, becoming elfs. The former trade their lifespan for strength and quick wits, dominating their lands. Elfs build long, stable societies with high sophistication.

Age of Myths

  • Men scatter around what they call the wearld, after their realm. Eventually, they and the elfs make peace.

  • The races of sanguines, phlegmatics, and melancholics spring forth in the peace. Sanguines came from those inclined to cheer, to friendship, to justice, and let societies form. Phlegmatics came from those inclined to companionship, to peace, to harmony, and they kept societies together. Melancholics came from those inclined to thought, to reason, to management, and the future. They led societies through hard times.

  • Great heroes of myth, mythical wars, and other events happen.

  • The race of cholerics begins when a lone man kills someone over a dispute. Instead of feeling regret, he feels power and dominance. He has children with willing women, and founded the city of Itchen. The race of cholerics conquers and dominates the land around Itchen, starting the Alretan Dominion.

The First Sun

  • S1 751: The forces of Amberstern, Eisenheim, and Brigant Arduin join forces to defeat Agantyr of Itchen, or Aemilius Alreto. The Agantyrian War rages for 50 years.

  • S1 801: The Agantyrian War ends when the Grand Fellowship besieges Itchen, and Agantyr is killed in the fighting. The First Sun ends.

The Second Sun

  • S2 1: Wifslavery finds its roots when destitute families sell their daughters to cover losses and costs from famine, war, and destruction. Around 2/3 of men had died in the last 50 years. Men’s births also lessen, and selling women becomes an accepted way of gaining wealth for households.

  • S2 201:

  • S3 456: Hefner Wraithsbane begins his conquest of Amberstern.
