(Note: The show is not a direct adaptation of the movie and is made more family friendly but the general concept, characters, and locations like “The Boar’s Nest” are brought over. Beth Ann Eubanks plays a similar role to Daisy Duke but is not related to the brothers in the film. In Moonrunners, Jake Rainey is a county boss who Uncle Jesse calls “Hog” while in the TV series Hogg is actually his last name. The only person who played the same role in both projects was Waylon Jennings as the narrator “The Balladeer”, though several actors from Moonrunners show up on The Dukes of Hazzard as different characters.)
