Hymenoplasty is the reconstruction of the hymen, resulting in the dissolution of any evidence of trauma. Nouvelle Confidence (NC) puts the needs and concerns of its patients first and foremost. The purpose of a hymenoplasty is to repair and reconstruct the hymen, a thin membrane that partially covers the opening to the vagina, to a “pre-sexual” state.

The hymen typically tears during the first time a woman has sexual intercourse, and often a small amount of bleeding occurs. Some women unknowingly tear the hymen through activities such as tampon use, and other rigorous sports. Some women break their hymen without realizing it.
