Disposable gowns made of CPE material are known as CPE Gowns. (Chlorinated polyethylene.) CPE gowns are used in hospitals, medical clinics, and virus isolation centres to protect against infections. The thermoplastic chlorinated polyethylene elastomer used in the manufacture of CPE gowns is produced by chlorination of polyethylene. It is made using a chlorine percentage of 15 to 30%.
