Hello again, natural hazard analyzer! Today, you and your group will be answering questions about natural hazards and completing a group project compiling all the information you find. This is to help you prepare for the natural disasters that will impact your community in the coming weeks. Each group will cover a different natural disaster. Group 1 will focus on earthquakes, group 2 hurricanes, group 3 floods, group 4 tornadoes, group 5 wildfires, and group 6 volcanoes. In order to save your community, you must answer your assigned question clearly and thoroughly in 3 to 5 sentences. Once everyone has completed their individual questions, you will come together with your group to complete your assigned group project. Work diligently, your community depends on it!

Group 1- Earthquakes

With your group compile all of the information members found into a brochure or poster. this poster or brochure should be legible, include all the information you found, and be visually pleasing.

Tell us about Hurricane Katrina of 2005. Where did it occur? How were the citizens of the town impacted? What damage did the hurricane cause?

Create a skit with your group that shares the information each group member learned from their individual questions. Convey this information to the class in an interesting way. Be creative!

Create a picture/wall mural depicting what a flood is, what causes them, where they occur, what groups they impact others, and human actions that increase their likelihood.
