Flowering and non flowering plants

Flowering plants are plants that produce flowers, seeds and fruits. We use some of the flowers, seeds and fruits for food and medicine.

Non flowering plants are plants that do not produce flowers, or fruits.  Example mosses and ferns.

Some big trees do not produce flowers: They are important to the ecosystem. they give off oxygen so that we can breathe. They also shade for us from the wind, the rain and the sun . They provide homes for birds and other animals.
