Humans are the original inhabitants of the known world, and their empires and cities once stretch far into the heavens, though contact and evidence of such has been lost to time. Granted great knowledge and power from the Architects, humans once possessed the technology to cure and illness and were possibly near-immortal. However, without the Architects, they have since returned to their natural life span of around 80 years.
After the collapse of their empire, surviving humans established a new settlement within the lands now known as Giudecca. The wisest among men passed down what little knowledge they retained from the lost golden age, and descended their craftsmanship to keep civilization firm and strong. Some technological revelations from the lost golden age of man are accessible, thanks to their preservation.
