What types of flexible circuit boards are there?

Abstract: FPC PCB, also known as flexible pcb, or flex pcb, is a printed circuit made of flexible insulating substrates. Flexible circuits provide excellent electrical performance to meet the design needs of smaller and higher density installations, and also help to reduce the assembly process and improve reliability. So, what are the types of FPC? Next, FS Tech will classify flexible PCBs for everyone.

Classification of flexible circuit boards

Single sided flex pcb

FS Technology is a type of printed circuit board made of single-sided PI copper clad material. After the flex circuit is completed, it is covered with a protective film to form a circuit board with only a single layer of conductors.

Double-sided flexible pcb

FSPCB uses the copper clad material of the double-sided PI board to complete the ordinary double-sided. After the double-sided flexible circuit, a protective film is added on both sides to form a circuit board with double-layer conductors.

Substrate generation single panel

In the circuit manufacturing process of FS Tech, pure copper foil material is used to add a layer of protective film on both sides of the circuit board to form a circuit board with only one layer of conductors on both sides. The side of the circuit board, but the exposed conductors.

Substrate generation double-sided

2 layers of single-sided PI copper clad laminate material, adding window glue at specific positions to form two layers of separated double-sided conductor circuit board partial structure, so as to realize single-sided conductor circuit board. Circuit boards with high flexibility in the layered area.

The introduction of flexible pcb is here for the time being, and FSPCBA will publish an article on the advantages of flexible pcb, so stay tuned!
