Students should know and understand the steps of the scientific method. They should know in what order the steps should take place, and what to do for each step. They should be able to create their own example of a research question and understand how to conduct research better. This might be students first exposure to research, but the goal is to teach them how to obtain information from online sources. The webquest will be graded, but at the end of the week the students will be tested on their understanding of the scientific method, through a worksheet that allows them to match different steps of the scientific method to a real life example of the process.
